Smile!

I mentioned my smiley piercing in my last post and I thought I'd expound upon it since its kind of a rare piercing! I saw a picture years ago and fell in love because when I smile, I'm all gums... I immediately dismissed it because it seemed like such a vulnerable, painful place to get a piercing... when I went in to get my nostril pierced last year I mentioned it in passing and my piercer told me it was totally pain-free! I started researching and when I want a piercing I become obsessed.. the process was totally easy and the least painful piercing I've had done (out of 7) I healed within a few days and hardly gets in the way... I get lots of negative reactions and out of the 8 months I've had it, only one compliment....that doesn't really bother me, it's something you have to accept when you choose to get piercings and tattoos! I've heard that the smiley (or upper lip frenulum if you want to get technical) eventually migrates out and I'm ok with that... but for now, I am totally in love!

  1. I think it's a cute piercing. I don't have much left there to pierce, so I definitely couldn't do it! :) I've always wanted a nose piercing, but after watching them on youtube, I need to rebuild my guts. ;)
